Dial-up screws up programs/sound

Whenever I am connected to my freaking dial-up network, i can't open programs such as iTunes, nor can I listen to anything while connected. Any idea what would cause this??

All Devices Connected

With my dial-up connection, whenever I connect then disconnect, and then try to reconnect, it will not let me. It goes through the whole dialing up process, then gives me the error "All Devices Connected." Also, when I turn on my PC then go away for about 10 min and try to connect, it also gives me the same message.

Help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Dial-up screws up programs/sound

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Re: Dial-up screws up programs/sound

I got a new modem awhile ago, as in like 3 months. Yes, things were working before then.

If I do system restore, will I have to reinstall my modem, and will i lose documents I created in that time period?

Re: Dial-up screws up programs/sound

Just to clarify:

Did this modem ever work? Have you been having this problem for 3 months?

System Restore will remove any software changes but not documents. System Restore is also reversible. But what I was originally thinking is that if this just happened today: go back to yesterday. (for example)

Re: Dial-up screws up programs/sound

If you look in my other thread "All Devices Connected" , I had an old modem, and I was getting that error message, and I was told to buy a new modem, so I did. I believe when I bought the new modem the sound started messing up.
