Help I Have Just Moved A File Into A New Folder And Saved It But Now When I Try To Open The File It Tells Me Excel Cannot Acces The File The Document May Be Read Only Or Encrypted.whats That All About Help Please!!!!!

Are you using Home or Pro?

In Pro right click the file and choose Properties. Here you can set Read Only as well as Encryption.

In Home you need to do this in Safe Mode.

Still Carnt Open Files.when I Click On Properties At The Top There Is Ony 1 Tab That Says General Is This Right There Is No Custom Or Summery Tabs.
I Am Running Windows Xp Pro Which Is Networked To The Main Unit Which Is Running Windos Xp Office Is This Ok

yes it should be ok...the only other thing is could you system restore to before you moved the file this might work......happend to my freinds laptop when his coursework deadline was :O lol give it a try and let me know good luck hope this helps...rename the folder and or move its location could help

Still Looking For Help Ive Tried To Renamed Ive Tried Moving The But Its Always Access Denied This File Is Read Only Or Encrypted. Anyone Got Any Ideas Thanks

Just to clarify... Office isn't installed on your pc but on the one you are accessing? Are you saving the file on your pc or the main unit?
