Re: storage problem with my win xp

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware and or software?

If this is a new problem try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Here are some other ideas:

Right-clicking problems are usually caused because some program has
insinuated a hook into the context menu. Use ShellExView to determine
what third-party software has shell extensions. Disable all the
non-Microsoft extensions and see if that helps. Get ShellExView (free)
here:

(Read paragraph about "ShellEXView")

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers:

Re: storage problem with my win xp

Try a System Restore to a point prior to the problem:

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

If that doesn't help try running explorer.exe from the Task Manager.

Right click an empty area of the task bar and choose Task Manager then click File > Run > explorer.exe

If that doesn't work what is the make and model of the computer? What form of XP CD do you have?
