Question Error Copying File or Folder??

Hi all-

I was just trying to copy some files froma burned DVD (of my own data) and while it was copying the files to my HD I got a pop-up with this notification:

Error Copying File or Folder

Cannot Copy [filename]: The parameteris incorrect.

The DVD is pretty scratched up. Could this be the problem? What does it mean, the parameter is incorrect?

Re: Error Copying File or Folder??

Are the drive and the disks in NTFS? Have you done this successfully in the past? What DVD software are you using?

Quick searches:

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...r+is+incorrect

http://groups.google.com/groups?sour...ct&sa=N&tab=wg

Will let you know if I see anything interesting. Just thought that you could browse as well.

Re: Error Copying File or Folder??

I have actually done this successffully before. In fact it just worked ok with some of the file s on the DVD. However after getting to a certain file, it will not copy that one and any of the subsequent files on the DVD.

I used NERO to burn the DVD, and have never had problems with DVDs (copying from them) before.

My HD is a NTFS sytstem, and as for my DVDs...I'm really not sure. But I am using my better judgement to say that since I have successfully done this before on this computer, that they are NTFS.

Re: Error Copying File or Folder??

Do you have another computer that you can try these disks (files) on?

This would be the most expedient test if the DVD is at fault (damaged).
