Burning And Ripping Trouble

Hi I am new to this site and am wondering if anyone can help. I can't seem to burn any music or photos to my cdrw's.

Even though the music sometimes sucessfully seems to go on to the discs. There is nothing on them when i play them back. This is the same for my pictures as well.

I thought it was Windows Media player that was the trouble but it is the same when i burn with I Tunes, Realplayer or Sonic. I guess it's something to do with my re writer drive. It makes a funny noise as well.

I have tried cleaning the drive with a cd cleaner but to no avail.

Can anyone help?

Thanks aries72

Re: Burning And Ripping Trouble

Is this a new problem? Were things working OK previously? Any new hardware or software?

Noise is not a good sign. Do you have another drive to try?

Microsoft offers these ideas:
