DICKY Is a beginner here at D-A-L
Exclamation Realtek Ac97

On xp start up, windows open sound has a crackle, but not on shut down any reason.
Also should i update nvidia drivers if things seem to be working.

If you have no problems with your graphics then No do not upgrade drivers unless there is a specific reason.

As to Audio: do you have audio at all? Is the problem just Window's sounds? Or all sound?

Have you checked your settings via start > Control Panel > Sound and Audio Devices?

If you want to reload the audio driver your computer manufacturer's web site is the best bet.

Yes i have sound, only crackle on start up, thankyou for your help.
