quest will not bridge

I am having problems getting my client (desktop with wireless card) to connect to my wireless router. I have disabled windows firewall, turned off McAfee, and turned off all wpa/wep security on my router. I have set up a wireless connection before with a cable modem with no problem. There is another wireless router within range that my client has no problem connecting to.

Both computers are running XP.I have a qwest dsl modem, belkin wireless router and a d-link wireless card. I was told by belkin that I needed to have qwest (my dsl provider) bridge my modem. Qwest says they do not support ppope, therefore they will not/can not bridge my modem.
