ab30494 Is a beginner here at D-A-L
new harddrive help

i justinstalled a new harddrive , bios detected it and has the right info, and when i started windows and ran installation disk it siad that harddrive is updatesd already, and i was wonering how it assing a drive for that hard drive. Oh and by the the way this is a second hard drive, i have the older one as primary master, and second as primary slave.

What installation disk did you run? One that came with the hard drive?

Is there any problem? Did you format/initialize the drive under Disk Management?

Is it seen under My Computer?

i ran the disk that came with the hdd
does it need to be formatted?
and it doesnt show up in my computer

Right click the right area under disk management and choose format.
