Re: Cam not working

Can you ID your specific model here:

http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Looku...o+6000&x=8&y=5

There will probably be drivers listed for the specific model.

Re: Cam not working

Hi Butterfly,
If it worked before you reformatted, you are probably just missing the drivers or apps that are needed for the cam.
By the way, you say "Cam not working".
What is this "Cam", is it a webcam, a camcorder or a camera.
Full details would help.
Also, if you reformatted, you should use the CD or s/w that came with your "cam" and reinstall from scratch.
Regards.

Re: Cam not working

Have tried putting the drivers back in and still both cam's will not work, one is a jvc GC-A50 and the other one is just a cheap one from Argos - Mikomi ........ The cd's for both cam's load but I keep getting the message 'cam not found'

Thanxs

Re: Cam not working

Hi Butterfly,
Have a look in Device Manager, I think the cam should appear under "Imaging Devices".
Is it there?
Does it have a yellow flag?
Sometimes with these devices you have load the driver before you plug in the cam, this is to make it use the manufacturer's driver rathert han the std windows driver.
The trouble is that once you've installed it, the only way to stop it loading the default windows driver is to delete it from Device Manager, load the driver from the cd, then plug it in. Often, the installation will prompt you to plug in and switch on.
Regards.
