Blue Screen on startup(wont go away)

So my comp has been working just fine lately but over night it kept making sounds like every 6 seconds and so i got up and went to start up/shut down. Then in the morning i turn it on but the blue screen wont go away. (it has the logo, Intel pentium D, <esc=boot menu> etc) but i press the keys and nothing happens. lol so i have no idea why it is being so difficult ><

Re: Blue Screen on startup(wont go away)

What kind of sounds? Like a clicking fan or a grinding hard drive?

So now it freezes on the Intel screen and the keyboard does not work? Is this correct?

Any lights on the keyboard? Are you familiar with opening the case and working inside?

You might want to run a diagnostic on that hard drive. Especially if you have any important data. You also might want to back it up to other media or drives.

Do you know the manufacturer? Look in the Device Manager under Disk drives.

Right click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager.
