XP Startup Speed

I searched around the forums a little bit and could not find startup speed tips. I know of msconfig and selecting/deselecting items as well as the start > programs > startup - But it still seems like my computer has a slow start up. I also have scanned it many times with Ad-Ware, SpySweep, and Spy Doctor (none of those auto start btw. :P ) The only applications on my startup are my two netwrok icons, wireless and lan, AIM, AVG Free Edition, and Symantic Antivirus (required for my college network). If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please reply!

Re: XP Startup Speed

Running AVG on top of Symantec is not a good idea. This could be causing problems in many areas.

Also:

As a first response you might want to post a HijackThis log for review by our Pros in that section:

Please follow the instructions HERE & then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis Logs section.

(Not in this section please).

Please specify what issues you appear to be experiencing along with your log
