KDS Laptop won't start!

I have a KDS laptop, & last night I downloaded AIM, AOL Explorer & Adobe Photoshop CS2. Then I tripped over the cord & it fell off the table.Everything was running fine, though. I closed the laptop, without closing any of the applications, & then this morning I opened it, closed some applications & then it froze because the Adobe Photoshop wasn't responding. I took out the battery, let it cool off for a couple of minutes, then placed it back. Turned it on, but instead of going to the welcome screen, it went black & said there had been an error in starting up, & to please pick a choice. The choices were: regular window start-up, or use last start-up set up that worked.

I've tried both & it doesn't work. Also, there's this weird clicking sound whenever it's trying to start up.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP.

That brand/company appears to be history.

Do you have the manual? Do you have recovery CD's?

Noise would indicate either a fan got moved or something moved into it or worse: a hard drive malfunction.

You could try to open it up and check it out. If you figure out the noise issue then you probably need to repair if not reinstall the Operating System.

From what I briefly read about KDS laptops it wouldn't be worth spending any money on it.
