File date and time as 1980??????

I was looking at an older system in a hex editor and saw that there were directory and file dates as 0/00/80???? What would cause them be that date?

if possible change them or there is a possibility of Y2K happening.... only possily... but hey... you still got 19 years before that happens to the files lol
