Windows Explorer encountered etc., etc.,

I believe that this completely obtuse message has been encountered by many people. It is obtuse owing to the fact that one is only given a very technical list of stuff to send to Microsoft, and as they do not answer anyway, what is the point of transmitting it.

May I therefore ask: Has anyone, who may have had this message, managed to get their Windows programme working again? If so, how please?

In many cases Microsoft does answer those submissions. Windows explorer is the basic GUI. Why it closed is most likely in those details.

Can you open the Details and copy paste or transcribe back here?

Also:

Look in your Event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
Or: Administrative Tools/Event Viewer or Start/Run/ eventvwr
Open the system as well as the application tabs & look for red X errors. Click error line for details.
Post back the source & event id & Description especially of errors that seem to coincide with this issue.
Also check the Information lines that might coincide with this issue.
