Computer Beeps at startup!

When i start my new pc it beeps when it startsup. Everythn is connected properly but when it starts up i get a beeep sound, 1 long and 2 short. I think it means sumnthn wrong with the video but even when the card isnt installed stil beeps?? what should i do?? faulty vid card or motherboard/cpu??

Pls help urgently!!

your machine will beep when first booted.

how old is the machine?, is it still under warranty

one beep then two beep is usually a video card, without the card you will get that.

have you another card to try?

Hey, the pc is brand new, its a amd 3800+, m2n4lsi mb, x1650 pro 512mb,

I have set it all up but when i turn it on i get 1 long then 2 short beeps, nothing happens at all with the pc. Nothn comes on the screen!

What should i do?? it stil beeps even without the video card?? so do u think its the vid card?? because the screen doesnt turn on or anythn!

Pls help....

If the machine is brand new, I'd get in touch with the sellers as if it's been like this from new then it must have been faulty.

you may have invalidated your warranty by opening up the case.
