Microphone not working!

I have a:
Logitech® Precision PC Gaming Headset
P/N: 980231-0403

I plug it in at the front side of my CPU (VAIO VGC-RA840G) and I already chose audio capture as: Realtek HD Audio front input. But I still can't capture any audio or voice. I need help! thank you!

Check in the audio settings of your Soundcard. You have have the microphone in the mute posititon.

I have already unmute everything in that sound icon. Still does not work :S

Maybe your port in the front of your CPU case is not connected internally.

Thats probably the case.

When I built this pc, I could not be bothered to fit all the wires for sound at the front.

All sound comes out of sound card at back.

Maybe whoever built the pc thread starter posted did the same.

Dear forum member, no offense but if you read carefully, I put my computer model in my first post, it is a VAIO destkop VGC-RA840G. It is impossible that the wires are not connected internally.
