windows xp - script error - freezing up

good evening,

have a Compaq Presario computer sr1215cl........windows xp home........

use a hp officejet 6210xi printer/scanner & hp photosmart 733 camera......

problem now is when uploading pictures to hp image zone get an error script message.......hit continue and pictures will upload......pictures are saved in 'my pictures' as hp pictures and in 'my albums' as pvm files.......
then outlook express and internet explorer freezes up.......have to restart computer and will work ok.........

have been round and round with hp and was told to contact windows.....

problem centers around the camera and IE 7 & SP2 .......

did complete system restore (reformat).....(numerous times).....

has IE 6 ........service pak 1

uninstalled factory Norton........

installed officejet 6210xi........did hp officejet upgrades

hp had me reset camera to 'disc' and have to manually upload pictures in image zone.........

works ok but saves as hp pictures and also pvm files.....which hp said have to delete pvm files each time to get rid of....

installed IE 7 & SP2 and did upgrades several times.....

with the IE 7 & SP2 when manually uploading pictures get a :

hit yes and pictures upload....

then causes IE and outlook to freeze........

have to shut down and do a restart.......works ok.....

system will work fine before switching to IE 7 & SP2 .......
