Windows or virus/spy related?

I have cleared most of the infections off the computer which included a dialler. At present whenever I set it to" never dial a connection" it always resets to "dial whenever a network connection is not present", after a sheduled reboot. If I set it to "always dial my default connection" the same thing happens. I have it on broadband at present but my friend (the owner) has dial up. The computer does connect to broadband. Is this a windows problem or is it most likely to be a result of the infections? Mcbee.

Hi

It seems very likely still an infection issue but could also be a corrupt Winsock.

Have a read of this please: Read This First - IMPORTANT Instructions

One of the security analysts will help you ASAP.
