Is it normal to have no processes running?

This is a strange one or it might be perfectly normal with a gig of ram on this pc, but in task manager the processes are all running at zero.

While I'm typing this iexplore.exe shows as run process 0. Of the collection of svchost.exe which previously were running out at 30,000+ they are now all at big fat zero's. I cant report any probs on my pc and opened programs run fine but only show in the applications tab in task manager and not as an associated process.

My question is... is this normal?. Seems odd to me knowing my history of seeing processes previously maxed out. The only process running on a figure above 0 is the system idle process at 95.

Re: Is it normal to have no processes running?

My machine shows the same thing in task manager except I have system idle at 97, this just means my machine is using 3% of the system which is normal, if it showed a real low number then I would worry.

Your machine is at 95 and that's a good number, you will notice when your system requires these processess the number will go down.

Hope this helps
