Re: problem with ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

Is this the procedure you followed? If not try it.

Uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control:

Reinstall it:

Re: problem with ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

thanks. followed your suggestion and, so far, things look good. added comments ...(1) from another tech forum, it was suggested that i reinstall FLASH 8. i couldn't. (2) did the uninstall/reinstall thing several times in the past with no success. D A L looks good and a donation will be forthcoming. sites like this are of considerable value to senior-users like myself.

Thumbs up Re: problem with ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

Thanks for the feedback.

You might want to bookmark those Adobe links.

I have to follow this procedure every now and again.

I do not know what triggers the failure.

Thanks for your kindness and let us know if we can help further in the future.

Re: problem with ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

I am having the same problem and I have tried the suggested remedy and it did not work. I have Java script enabled, but each site I go to tells me to enable Java Scripting and Download Adobe Flash player. I tried the uninstall and then re install but still cannot get flash player 9.0 to work. I had no trouble with the previous version. I think it was 8.0.

Re: problem with ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

Is this a new problem for you?

If so you could try a System Restore prior to uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Flash.

Or you could try to reload the latest Java. In the above mentioned case (as with most) Java is not pointed out as an issue.
