So you can start in Last Known Good Configuration?

If so go to start Run... msconfig > Startup

Uncheck everything and reboot.

Re: Deepfreeze + Acronis Disk Director Suite= Troubles

As to DOS Dan Penny is the DOS master here perhaps he will have an idea for you.

I don't know these programs you are using outside of looking at their web sites but if you are in Windows and msconfig you should be able to stop everything from starting outside of Windows itself. Did you turn off all services under msconfig > Services? Click Hide Microsoft Services then disable all others.

Another idea would be to remove these programs and all their files from your hard drive.

They must be on the hard drive and if so must be deletable.

Re: Deepfreeze + Acronis Disk Director Suite= Troubles

If they are disabled in Services and Startup they should not be running.

If they are under those conditions the software has hidden its startup entries.

If this is the case I would uninstall that software.

Re: Deepfreeze + Acronis Disk Director Suite= Troubles

I was suggesting uninstalling DeepFreeze.

Their support site might have other options for you. You can always contact them directly toll free.
