E-mail pictures

Hi. I'm running windows XP Pro. At times I get emails (OE) that should have pictures but instead there is a little square with a red cross in the top left corner and no pic. I can't fathom how to get the pic to show.
Can anyone help please. Many thanks.

open outlook express then go

Tools >> options >> Security and check to see if block images is checked

Thanks brain_damage. Did that but couldn't find Box "block images" or anything similar. Where to now? Ralph

Hi. Mines got everything except "download images" box could it be that there is a more up to date OE ?

I'm using OE 6, have you got admin rights?

is it all pictures?

Mine's OE6 also; don't know about admin rights--should have-it's my PC.
99% of emails with pics are ok; it's just the odd one that I get that has the little red cross and there's no indication of what the format might be. Regards Ralph

Thanks brain_damage: Sorry to be so long in coming back. Had a few days away.
Read all the info on that site and it would appear that I would be better off not receiving these sort of emails. So will not worry about it any longer. They are few and far between so can't be missing much.
