Virus or what

When booting up, I'm getting a steady beeping noise which stops, then receive a pop up which asks if Im sure I want to put my internet explorer in the recycle bin--- I have to continue to click "no" until to closes--usually if Ihold the control key down---when placing the cursor at the beginning of a line, it deletes all the text---any suggestions>>? Just to follow up=== I ran my HP notebook PC to the Best Buy Geek squad and they thought it was the key board---turns out, that's what resolved the issue---bought a HP keyboard off ebay and put it on---voiala!! problem gone---thanks for the helptho== B2
