Promblem with defualt unknown file settings

Hi Guys

.... I have a problem...
..Running windows Xp sp 2 with all the bells & Whistles.

... when you want to open a file with a specific program, you specify this by clicking "open With" and then "Choose Program" under properties right.?

I know how to do this, but how do you undo this?

... windows is using notepad to run a file, I dont want it to use notepad...

... how do i undo this?

well if you want it to open with a different program.... say Microsoft Word, do the open with, locate the program and before you click OK at the bottom, there will be a tick box saying "always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
click that and next time you open that file it should open with the program you want it too
