Hi... I'm no expert, but give this a try... Its worked for me..
.. choose the latest restore point, in other words the restorepoint with the closest date to your current system date...
.. restore to this point... If it doesnt work .. try the next previos restore point... and so forth...
... you will loose any recent changes to your system and might have to reinstall some of your recent software installs and tweaks... your data files will not be affected though...
... its also good practice to manually create a restore point for your system at least once a month.. especially if your continueosly updating your system..
