Problem emailing attachments

Hi guys

Not sure if this is the right place for this query. I got great help from this forum in a previos query...this forum rocks...

My computer refuses to send any emails with attachments, doesnt matter how small it is. It starts sending then eventually tells me the server hassnt respnded. This only happens when i try and attach a file. Even when the file is a simple notepad file with the only contents "Just Testing"

My System:
>Dell inspiron 1100 P4 2.2 Ghtz 256Meg Ram
>Windows Xp SP 2
>Email: via MS Outlook
>Firewall : Windows Firewall
>Anti Virus: Mcafee Total Protection for small business. (edition whih is available for Standard Bank Clients)
>Modem: Motorola V360 connecting @ 230.4 Kbps using Gprs

What I.ve tried:
> Contacted my service provider (Absa Internet) - they where not any help - said if i can send a email, i should be able to send attachements.
> Contacted Cell C - They said I should check my firewall settings - Tried turning my firewall off, - still have the same problem.

Please help if you can...

What e-mail client are you using?...web based?....hotmail/yahoo? or
outlook or outlook express? e.t.c??

could be that your email provider is having problems what email provider are you with?
