i need sound my computer says that there is no soundMax driver found in my computer...the soundMax logo is there with the red circle strike through in it....im going completly crazy i cannot live without sound....

What is the make and model of the computer?

You need to reload the drivers.

The manufacturer's web site should have them to download and install if you do not have a driver CD from the manufacturer.

im the make is tagar im not sure of the model lol and i dont have any discs for the computer so how would i find out where to go to get the driver? manufactur....im a net dummy

The only finds I get for a Tagar computer are obsolete web sites from a Canadian company that at least no longer operates its' web sites.

You can ID the motherboard with CPU_Z

Mainboard > Model > Manufacturer

allright so the system cpu is a amd athlon 64 3200+ and the motherboard is mckinnonmicro model #760gxk8mc what next? omg your such a great help this is easier than i thought it would be thank you...for helping me i am starting too hear myself think with no sound lol...

mckinnon micro is associated with Tagar. Again all these web sites cannot be found. Best guess is this company is out of business or else very derelict in their support infrastructure.

That being said the 760gxk8mc is listed as a Foxconn motherboard.

From here it is trial and error as I've no clue what the RS distinctions apply to.

If you try a driver that is not compatible it should let you know that. Then try another etc.

thank you so much for all your help but it turns out the driver was fried even when i did finally figure out what where and how there was nothing...thank goodness for warrenty the company bought me another sound card driver and with a little help from the tech everything is running smoothly thank you for all your help...
