lots of problems logged in here?

hi i have windows xp sp2 and recently my pc keeps saying error or just shuts down i have maccafee security on but i dont know that much about pc s was having a look around an came across this in administrative tools event viewer lots off errors like error.dcom.10010, warning msi installer, mclog event application error errors with windows messenger live? i have done a systerm restore but the problem has not sorted out i i do scan disk and defrag and try and keep on top off the usual mantainance i just cant do any teq stuff would be very great full if some one could offer me any help but i dont understand a lot off the jargon thank you in advance.
