Re: win files are delited

Go to Start, Run, type in sfc /scannow

You'll be asked to insert your XP CD into your CDROM drive.

If you hover your mouse pointer over this icon, does a small yellow text block/window pop up? If so, what does it say?

Re: error in welcome screen

Is that a legal copy of Windows? That is, do you have an original Windows disk that goes with that computer?

"my system have xp sp-2 proftional, i have xp sp-2 other edition "

You don't have an XP Professional CD? Only an XP Home CD?

How did you manage to install XP Professional without a CD?

Re: simple doubt

daphny/praveen,

I've merged all your threads into one as they all deal with the same problem.

Please keep your same problem in the same thread. You don't have to start a new thread (with a new user name) for every question unless the problem is different.
