Hi... I'm a bit new to this site so be patient ;-)
Last week I'd used up about 70GB of my 130GB hard-disc. A few days ago I received an on-screen message telling me that my system had no disc space... And to my horror & amazement my ENTIRE hard disc was full!!! A quick scout through the files pin-pointed something in the windows/system32 folder, although as it's so large my machine won't open it up, so I can't actually put a name to the rouge file or files.
I tried to remove a few large programs & folders to free up a bit of space but the machine just ground to a halt when I tried to un-install programs??? Earlier today I found something on the net
here which I found interesting. I've no idea if my machine has been affected by the Leech32 virus but removing all mp3 & avi files has at least stabalised my machine. It has also enabled me to remove things and to free up a bit of space to let my poor machine breath a little better!!!
Whatever is on my machine has bypassed Norton 2007
Any ideas???
