Backing up a RAID 0 (stripe) System

Hi Folks,
I'm just waiting to take delivery of my new DELL 9200 PC.
It has a 500GB HDD (2x250GB in a RAID 0 config.)
It also has an additional single 500GB SATA drive.
I need some help with configuring it.
I would like to know if there are any differences to note when backing up a RAID drive compared to a single. (It's running XP Pro)
What I would like to do is to keep a back-up image on the additional 500GB drive using something like Ghost or Acronis, any idea which would be best in this situation and any other points/problems I need to consider?
I've heard there can be problems with the RAID drivers not being available during boot-up etc.
On my current PC I also have a copy of XP on the second hard drive, i.e. a dual-boot, as well as the image.
I know I shouldn't need it but on a couple of occasions when I couldn't boot the first drive, being able to boot the second allowed me to fix the first without having to use the image, so maybe it's just a feel-good factor.
Any suggestions welcome.
