DDE server

I have the same problem as busybee 12.
At shut down nothing happens for several minutes then the message "Dde server window will not close" or words to that effect!
I can tick the close now box and eventually my pc shuts down.

Jephree suggests to busybee

"start > Run... services.msc

Scroll down to Network DDE

Right click then click Properties and Disable this service."

I tried that but it is already disabled.

Is there anything else I can try please?
