Post Grub Loading

Hi,is there anyone can help me,to format my HDD,coz i want a windows xp to install,before it is UBUNTU and win xp pro but again i want a WIN XP Home Edition to install, and i try to format so i used the FDISK command suddenly i deleted all the partition, and everytime i re start GRUB is loading i think this is from the UBUNTU and that is the problem i cant format my HDD to installed a new WIN XP Home Edition?

Thanks for your help,but i only need winXP, and i want a clean install of win xp home edition,i dont want a dual booth,just to know on how to format my HDD and install only a winXP,coz again i said everytime i re start GRUB is loading and i dont want a dual booth..

I think it's something like when using the FDISK command

fdisk /mbr

You can also wipe & format outside of Windows using GParted
