Exclamation Need Help quick please!

I recently got a new pc...well new hardware basically a new pc and here is my problem.

I log on and start up a game (cabal online - mmo) whilst its updating a BSOD flashes and reboots...so i come back on and make it so it shows what the BSOD says...i try again and bam reboots...so i come back on thinking maybe its the updater...

I install another MMO - 2moons/dekaron and updates fine and i go on and play for a bit...then BSOD appears and says

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x000000D1 (random numbers - its in my minidump i think)

usbhub.sys - address F751B259 base at F7517000 date stamp 41107d68

so i do a mini dump and got results....and just as i was gonna post them on here...bam BSOD again this time saying

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x0000000A

and no usbhub.sys etc after that...i really dont know whats wrong and its making me feel sick considering i just spent alot of this equipment and now i cant even do anything on it...

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: 000000e8, memory referenced
Arg2: 00000002, IRQL
Arg3: 00000001, bitfield :
bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: 806ffa16, address which referenced memory

debuglog4.txt

Last one! :P unless i get some new BSOD's...it seems like alot to do with IRQ....

im a complete idiot when it comes to technical terms in computers when it comes to things like IRQ's...i dont know what the hell they are >.>

anyhow....ANY HELP at all! about what is going on will be so much appreciated

EDIT: i dont know whether i should hand my pc back to the people who put the hardware in and tell them the problems im having and hopefully get them to fix it...but as i said i basically spent all the money i got spare on this and cant afford to waste any more :/

hmm...what to do...and by the way this all happened today once i got my pc back and installed windows on it

Just crashed again...latest minidump - debuglog6.txt

Re: Need Help quick please!

USB Cable modem is in all those dumps.

If someone just worked on this then yes take it back and make them fix it.

If you have the option of Ethernet rather than USB I would change that too.

Re: Need Help quick please!

so would you think it would have something to do with the USB cable in my modem? maybe if i take out some USB's etc or change them about? would that make any difference?

and just as i clicked on this thread again i got BSOD lol...i love my luck

i just find it stupid how...old systems like i had never gave me ONE PROBLEM AT ALL then i get this new system quite up to date and i have all these problems....i thought technology got better? lol

EDIT: and thanks for the reply

Re: Need Help quick please!

Every single dump you posted blames SACMXP1.sys which is a cable modem driver.

This is a problem with either the drivers, or the modem itself.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the modem, and drivers.

If this doesn't help, then maybe try a different modem.

Other points and ideas here:

http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...q=SACMXP1.sys+

Again if this is a new problem on a new computer then contact the builder/manufacturer.

Re: Need Help quick please!

hmmm.. ok.

i see you live in US so you wont know drivers for these modems i guess...

whenever i used to reformat all i done was put in my Blueyonder Broadband internet CD (installs it on my PC) and after that it was done...and my internet is up and running....so i dont understand how it has a problem this time...

the CD is a little scratched...well alot...maybe something went wrong and it missed a file or something you think?

i tried changing the plug in the back from USB to ethernet and plugged it into my PC but it says Limited or No connectivity on it and i cant connect to anything...tried to Repair it but doesnt get past the first bit

Again, thanks for the reply atleast now i know the problem

Re: Need Help quick please!

I would either contact the machine builder or your ISP or both.

Thanks for the thanks.

Re: Need Help quick please!

hmmm...i got my latest driver but the instructions on setup kinda confuse me..

Installation:
-------------
Installing the USB driver on Microsoft Windows 98SE or ME or 2000 or XP

1. Power down your PC.
2. Connect the active RF coaxial cable to the CABLE connector on the cable modem.
3. Plug USB cable into the modem and into one of the computer USB ports.
4. Plug in the modem power adapter and make sure that the modem POWER indicator is lit.
5. Turn the computer power ON to start Windows.
6. When Windows prompts with "USB Composite Device" in the
"New Hardware Found" dialog box, click the "Next" button.
7. Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)"
from the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the
"Next" button.
8. Insert the CD (or floppy disk) provided with your cable modem into the CD ROM:
of your PC.
9. Select "Specify a location" and type Path "CD ROM:\" in the
"Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, then click the "Next" button.
10. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.
11. Windows will prompt with "Scientific Atlanta DPR300/DPX2000/DPX100 & 200 series USB Cable Modem"
in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.

Note: During the installation process, if Windows displays a warning that the device
has not passed Windows logo testing, select "continue anyway" and proceed with
the installation.
12. Click the "Next" button in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box.
Windows will copy the .sys driver file from CD ROM:\
to the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory and the corresponding .INF file from CD ROM:\
to the C:\WINDOWS\INF\OTHER directory.
13. When Windows prompts with "Scientific Atlanta DPR300/DPX2000/DPX100 & 200 series USB Cable Modem"
in the "Add New Hardware Wizard" dialog box, click the "Finish" button.
14. Remove the USB CD from your CD ROM.
15. Restart your computer to initialize the network function.

i have already installed my USB internet though so how can i just "add" the driver so to speak...

the folder contains two system files one .exe one security catalog and setup information

EDIT: AGAIN i love editting my post...but yeah i just noticed my USB driver is VERY far behind it seems...

Driver version: 1.11.0.0
Driver date: 04/09/2003

NEW driver version: Version 3.2.3
