Using Emachine 3210 re-installed with Win XPpro
I cannot get any sound and when look in Device Manager I get "No Audio Device"
I cannot see a sound card inside, Would it be in the BIOS and if so, need enabling? How do I get into the bIOS? and any other ideas for restoring sound? Speakers are all connected

I was given this PC with OEM win XP home edition discs but these discs wouldn't start windows due to the "NDTLR missing" error. The XPpro disc has got everything up and running except the sound. Does this help?

It may be the drivers or a setting in the BIOS. If you follow brain_damage's advice with installing the correct drivers, rebooting and see if that resolves it, you'll know better what it may be.
Done!! The audio driver is on the OEM disc. It's amazing what you can do when you know what you are looking for!
Many thanks for your help. A small donation is on its way. keep up the good work!
