Problem, please help!!

I have a wondows XP computer and when i turn the computer on the screen would go blank every 5 secs then reappear again. Could this be a virus? If so what would be the best way of getting rid of it?

Re: Problem, please help!!

Hello, and Welcome to D-A-L.

First determine if it's a windows problem or a hardware problem. Boot your computer with a bootable media. (Floppy or CD.) If the problem persists, it's a hardware problem.

Post back with your results.
