system administrator

Hi Help please
In IE if I click Tools/internet options I get an error message saying the operation is cancelled due to restrictions on the computer and to contact system administrator.
the problem is this is a home PC, I'm the only one that uses it, under user accounts there is just me shown as computer administrator.I have previously been able to access internet options but don't know when this changed.Possibly months ago so I don't want to do a system restore.
Is there an easy way for me to get into internet options?
Thanks

Re: system administrator

start > Run... > regedit

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Restrictions

Change value of "NoBrowserOptions" from 1 to 0.

Also note that if you did not change this then someone(thing) else did. Malware most likely.

Partial success!
I can now enter internet options but the home page section
is "greyed out" and I can't change it.
Has someone/thing changed this as well?
Can you solve this as well please?
Thanks
