Angry Cursor problem

Its acting weird and i think ill have a hard time explaining but ill try anyway.
Its like my mouse is clicking when im actually not clicking it at all.I had this problem before and people always say "get a new mouse" but thats not the problem, its fine.
Its something in my settings thats doing this.
If i have a maximized window open and my mouse is over it and a popup comes up,the popup will go into the background if my mouse is over the maximized window. But if it is over the popup it will stay ontop of the others. It does not actually click,it just keeps whatever page it is over ontop of all the others.
This is very annoying as i go to a website where i need to have the little popups stay when i click on them and not go behind my page.

I hope somebody understands.
Thanks

Re: Cursor problem

Just another question: do you have Tweak UI installed?

Re: Cursor problem

I agree, you do not need a new mouse. But this is typically a TweakUI PowerToy (or similar registry tweaker such as X-Setup) setting for "X-Mouse" called "activation follows mouse".

That said, you can test/verify this by opening multiple windows and move your mouse back and forth over them. If the focus changes, then this X-Mouse setting has been set.

If this ONLY occurs with pop-up windows, then I would be concerned with malware infestation and would recommend you run complete scans of your system - see Cleaning Out Malware.
