Something wrong with copying

Every time I copy a file/folder and paste it in the same folder, it doesn't overwrite but instead makes a duplicate file with "copy of" behind the name of it. I want it to go back to overwriting since I'm used to doing that so does anyone know how to set it back to that?

Hi Fuzetsu and welcome to D-A-L.

The reason why it makes a copy is because it already knows the same file is there. This prevents you from overwritting the original. So it is acting properly. What you need to do is not paste, but "save as", then select the same name and you should be asked if you are sure you want to overwrite.
