task manager help

When I open task manager and click on the performance tab I see two CPU usage history windows. Can someone tell me what each is showing? Also, where can I find more information about this window?

Thanks, Jim B

Thanks. Never occured to me. Are they supposed to share the work evenly? Reason I ask, When running Flight simulator X, one looks to be maxed out while the other seems to be loafing.

Re: task manager help

Hyperthreading also shows 2 screens.

If hyperthreaded they should be fairly even.

If you have a dual core it depends on the software.

If the software was not written for dual cores it will only run on one.

Re: task manager help

Thanks again. You'd think FSX would have benn written for dual. I'll have to check.
