Re: BSOD - Kernel Data/Stack In Page Error -
May I jump in here since this morning I also get a BSOD and the message: kernel_stack_inpage_error. Reading various advices and tips I decided to go for a chkdsk C: /f /r - which I never done before. Well, it started off - after rebooting - and the first 3 phases (out of 5) were no problems (translating from Swedish: verifying files, indexes, securitydescription, USN-journal) then started phase 4, verifying filedata, where - after more than 9 hrs - only 3% is done. I've read somewhere that the chkdsk-command can take many days if the disk is large and there are many files. My disk, a Seagate Barracuda 200 GB, certainly has many, many files. However, to me it seems that the the process has "stalled". But shouldn't the command come up with some error-code if so? Should I keep on waiting? I'm aware of the SeaTool to check the disk but I haven't tried it yet. Re my PC (XP SP2): boots up normally (well a faulty boot-ini.file) and a bit slow. Maybe there is something wrong with the disk. Any advice is much appreciated.
