outlook express

Dear all,

Outlook express is not working. My ISP advised me to save e-mails, remove outlook express from my pc and then reinstall outlook from the microsoft site. I created a folder on my desktop and tried to drag e-mails into it but no luck.

Would someone kindly give me step by step instructions as to the steps to save e-mails, remove and reinstall outlook express and import the e-mails back into outlook express? For information I have quite a few subfolders in my inbox so I 'm wondering how to handle this, as well as many "contact" names and addresses. Thankyou in advance for your help, I think I'm learning but still quite computer illiterate.

Thanks for responding. I gave up with outlook and downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird and managed to easily import all e-mails into the new email client so all is well again.
