yesterday i lost my mouse action it went from view and wouldnt come back, or if not it froze on screen, and i had to restart machine which cleared it. It seems to be ok now touch wood but why did it happen.
Ladyjane, I do not know if this will help, but I went through a period recently where the mouse-pointer froze and I had to restart at very regular intervals.
Eventually after some weeks of this problem which got gradually worse, as one of my HDs started to refuse to come on line, I swapped my PSU for a much more powerful unit.
My machinery, touch wood (places hand on head!), has been absolutely fine for quite a while now.
