How do you record videos on your web-cam?

If you mean using your web cam as a digital recorder you cannot.

Most digital recorders can be used as web cams but not vice versa.

What is the overall goal? Why won't the listed programs work for you?

Haha, I can't believe you used that as your example. You can get a mobile webcam, just search google.
