Unhappy Microsoft Outlook help wanted

Hi Guys. I just been given a panasonic camera, Its system "Lumix" only wants to send pictures via Outlook. My Outlook appears to have become non-operational. It wont receive or send anything. There is no error message . Just nothing happening. It does keep telling me I got lots & lots of unsent messages & asks if I want to send them & then nothing happens. I have been using MSN for my emails so never noticed until now that there was a problem. Can I remove outlook totaly & then reinstall? Any replies please keep simple as I am. Ta

Re: Microsoft Outlook help wanted

It isn't necessary to use Outlook if that isn't the email application you want to use. What you need to do is Save the photos from the digital camera onto your compute.r. Then go to your MSN account and compose a new mail. At the top you will see an option to Attach files. Browse for the photos you want to send and then attach them to the mail.

With a lot of software form manufacturers, they set the default options to what they presume will be convenient for everybody, however it is not always the case that these options will suit everyone. So what you've got to do is instead go down the manual root rather than clicking the Automatic "Send via Email" button, the process of which I described above.

Hope this helps .

Thumbs up Re: Microsoft outlook help

Thanks Owen. I tried your Idea. Lumix has a bit called "Aquire to P C" which I clicked & it says that it has aquired 5 pictures to the PC. But where were they? there was not an option to aquire them to a specific location. There was not a new folder to be found & there was not a new item on my desk top. So I opened a new mail & clicked on attach which took me to Browse & the only Item anywhere to do with pictures was on the desktop "Lumix" which when I clicked on it opened up all the files which Lumix is composed of. "read Me" & " Exit" & "Acquire to P C" It felt like back in the days of the old Sinclair Spectrum. So either I am doing something wrong or this "Lumix" is more complicated than first thought. Any other info would be gratefully received

Re: Microsoft Outlook help wanted

Usually, when you connect a device such as a camera to the computer, it will appear in My Computer. If you head off to My Computer, the name of your camera may be listed next to a Camera icon or there might be a new drive that wasn't there before which is the memory card inside the camera. Double click on the correct icon.

Sometimes the images may be a few folders deep, but if you look, they are there. You can then simply right click on the images you want, copy them to a folder on your computer e.g. My Pictures and then attach them to your email
