custom made computer problems with audio

i was given a custom made computer . it runs windows xp . the harddrive is made by western digital . it has a yellow question mark by the multimedia audio controller in device manager . i dont know which one to download . dont have the money to purchase . i have speakers , but no sound comes out . so what all do i need to download ? just the controller , or a driver to ? i dont know much about computers but would like to have sound . so post links if possible . thanx .

The manufacturers web site should have your drivers.

so gimme a list of all i need to download , i.e. driver , controller , codecs , etc.

All you need is the audio driver.
