Echo like sound from speakers & earphones

Hello,
just recenlty while watching an AVI on pc I noticed the sound is very tinny and echo-y.
looked at all the help tables for sound management and speakers can see nothing related to any echo or phase shift of the sound.

Thanks in advance

Re: Echo like sound from speakers & earphones

Is the sound only tinny and echoey when watching AVI files? Does this occur with other AVI files than the one you watched?

Re: Echo like sound from speakers & earphones

Have you tried using a different set of speakers or even plugging a set of headphones into back of PC to see if the Echoing still occurs? This can then pinpoint whether there is an error with your speakers or the actual configuration or computer hardware.
