The sound card field in the scan result is completely blank. So i think my sound card is not getting detected.
Plz provide help as to what my problem actually be and how to solved it.

I don't know what your problem is but try using the installation disk that came with the card are download them from the manufacturer's website. The manufacturer's drivers and programs are usually better than Xp's generic drivers since they are designed for that card compared to XP's drivers which are just designed to work on most cards. Also you may try to put the card in another PCI slot since the slot it is in on the MB might be dead assuming that it is in a slot & not integrated into the MB. Do you have access to another card to try in your computer? Another options is to back up your files & reinstall XP which messes up sometimes. If none of these works then your card might be dead & needs to be replaced.
