RolloDandy Is a beginner here at D-A-L

Be it BBC videostreams such as their weekly IT programme "Click", or a music file I recently saved in the "My Music" folder which I made from an audio tape using a USB tape deck and a programme for audio management called Audacity, the problem is the same - the onset of sounds, be they dialogue or words in a song or even the music itself goes into rapid repeat, so that, for example, day becomes ddday, my becomes mmmy. Is this a problem that occurs before it is "Saved" as a file, while, presumably it is still in the short term memory, or when it's stored on the harddisc, maybe as segments on different parts of the harddrive, or when the file is opened at a later stage for burning onto disc. I would appreciate a solution to this problem because I cannot use any of the audio I create until it is corruption free.

It may be obvious from the above that my understanding of how computers work is limited and well off the mark. R.

Hi Rollo and welcome.

I am afraid you only described the problem, but not on what. What is the make and model of this computer or laptop? What version and patch level of Windows?

How long has this been going on? If recently started, what changed? New hardware? Software?

How much RAM do you have? How much free disk space? What are your Page File settings?
