Aol doesnt detect modem

Hi there, I recently gave my computer to my brother, so i installed a fresh copy of windows xp onto it. After the installation i started to install aol, everything went smoothly until i restarted and launched aol. I clicked sign on and it came up with this message:

The AOL software cannot start up correctly. Please try again, restart your computer, or reinstall the software.

Error starting: ee//connectivity/connectivity
Error code:10

I have reinstalled AOL numerous times but to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

That error indicates no drivers for your modem.

After you reinstall Windows you need to reinstall the computers drivers.

All that being said why are you using AOL?

Kinda like the Dark Ages.

Do you know how I can fix this problem?

I guess Ive just been with them so long Ive not bothered to look anywhere else, though Im thinking about changing now =/

I have been with aol for seven or eight years now, and have never yet (fingers crossed about here!), had any problems.

AOL aside I would not use that download.

Error 10 from the Device Manager is missing drivers.

What is the make and model of your computer?

The manufactures web site will have your drivers including the internal modem driver.

I always get an answer real quick here which is why Im just gonna keep using the site =]

Tried using that program and it did fix a few things but I managed to figure out what was wrong all along, the aol broadband network adapter was disconnected and once it was connected everything was fine again
